About Us

Who we are

Our mission is to cost-effectively create income doublings for people in Africa through value-added exports and labor migration.

Africa Jobs Fund catalyzes high-productivity jobs to end poverty in Africa. We create these jobs through export manufacturing and international labor mobility, the two most cost-effective ways to increase incomes for people living in poverty in Africa.

We help to start and scale commercially viable organizations in two ways: we source exceptional founders and incubate them to start new organizations, and we fund existing organizations to scale their operations or launch new ventures.

Our values

Cost effective

We seek to maximize the positive impact that we can create relative to the resources we are deploying.

Truth seeking

We want to know what is true about the world regardless of whether that truth is inconvenient or difficult.

Tolerant of risk

We focus on projects with the highest expected value, not only on those for which we are certain of the outcome.

Mutually beneficial

We seek to create organizations that not only directly benefit their employees and customers, but also create a broader positive impact in the countries in which they operate.

Execution focused

We believe that the quality of our operations and the speed with which we work is crucial to successfully achieving our mission.

Rights respecting

We believe that it is of paramount importance that our organizations respect the rights of the workers at all times.
